Frameless glass shower enclosures are just that, glass shower doors without the need for a frame. Conventional shower doors had frames around the glass, which utilized metal to make sure the glass was secure along the edges. Since then new hardware has been developed that allows for very minimal amounts of metal to be shown, which helps make particularly small restrooms seem much larger.

The lack of metal creates a cleaner, and less cramped finished look. Many homeowners would also agree that framed shower enclosures lead to much more difficulty when it comes to cleaning and upkeep. Frameless glass shower doors will stay crystal clear longer by only using a squeegee to wipe down the water after each use, as well as cleaning with paper towels and glass cleaner periodically.
